Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) Registration:

What is the NMC :

The NMC is the professional regulatory body for nurses and midwives in the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland).You will need to posses a valid NMC pin number to practice as a nurse in the United Kingdom.At Bright Lead Solutions Ltd(BLS) we have comprised a very easy and a systematic approach to help our International Applicants with the NMC registration process.Please speak to one of our expert consultants to explore this section of the process.

What is the test of Competerence or CBT:

CBT is a Compuiter Based Test and it is provided by the Pearsen Vue on beahalf of NMC.It comprises of 120 multiple questions and you will need to complete the test in 4 hours.As CBT forms as a key part of the NMC registration process,it is madotory to complete CBT,after the NMC has authourised your application.All applicants will be sent a link via there registeretd email ID from NMC.This link will allow you to pay and book for the CBT test via the pearson vue portal.One of our expert consultants at BLS will guide you with study materials and help you achieve the required results with ease.

Whast is OSCE?

The OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) is a approved practical test by the NMC.Completing this test is mandotory step as this forms the final part of the NMC registration process.All applicants will be expected to complete the OSCE test with in 3 months of arrival.Once completed you will be eligible to apply for the NMC pin number.which authourises you to practice as a registeretd nurse in the UK.

Employment

What is the length of my contract?

Initial contract will be offered for 24 months.After the completetion of the 24 month contract employer will offer to extend the contract based on satisfictory elements.All applicants will be obliged to complete there contractual period of work with the Tier 2 Sponsor.After this period applicants will have the choice to change the employer.Please read your contractual agreement and speak to one of your consultants at BLS to make a informed decesion.

What are my working hours like and can I work overtime hours?

All applicants will be expected to work 37.5 hrs per week.You will required to be available with flexibility around your work rota.all additional hours will be paid as Overtime as per the contractual aggrement.

What is the probation period?

Your probation period is six months.During this period you will be undertaking a structured induction programme provided by the employer,which will help you to familiarise with working environment and policies and procedures.

Travel to the UK

Who is responsible in paying for my flight ticket?

In most cases your flight ticket to UK comes as part of the recruitment benefit package.your dedicated consulatanat at BLS will explain if there are any changes to the benefit package.

Who is responsible for booking the flight ticket?

Flight ticket will be booked according to the applicants start date and after careful consultation with the applicant on the same.your dedicated consultant at BLS will guide you through the whole process.Please check with your airline and confirm the baggage allowances and departure inforamtion once you have been issued with a ticket.

What basic do I need to bring?

Depending on the time and period of travel we advice all the applicants to bring adequate clothing form the country of origin.we highly recommed all the applicants to pack there UK adapters,phone chargers and laptops.Do not bring substances or medications with you for which you do not have a valid prescription or which violates air travel regulations.All applicants will be required to bring all the original documents.your consultant at BLS will guide you with a checklist regards to the same.

What happens upon my arrival?

All the applicants who arrive in the UK,will be provided with our Meet and greet service,As part of the service,we will pick you up from the airport and relocate you to the accomodation.we will also assist you with shopping basic necessities from the local supermarket.

You will be required to self-qurantine for 14 days upon arrival.your empoyer will provide with all the support needed with in the 14 days.once you commence work, the employer will guide you through the preparatipon for the OSCE test.your dedicated consultant at BLS will be there to answer any questions and guide you on the same.

Accomodation:

How will I secure accomodation?

All employers provide free accomodation for the first few weeks after arrival during the settling period.While you are in the settling period,your consultant at BLS will help you find a permanent accomodation close to your employer.

Who pays for my accomodation:

Deposit and rent for the first month will be advanced to the Landlord by your employer.This will be re couped from your salary over a period of 6-12 month period.According to the terms and conditions of the Tenantual contract you will pay the rent to the landlord directly each calender month.All tenants will be expected to give one month notice if you wish to move to a different accomodation.

Tax & National Insurance

Hows is My Tax and National Insurance deducted from salary?

Tax and National Insurance payments are mandatory and will be deducted from your salary on a monthly basis depending on your earnings per month.

How is My monthly salary paid?

Each Employer will have a set date in each month as a pay day, which is more likely to be at the end of the month.You will be paid every 4 weeks in most cases.

How will I setup a bank account and obtain a National Insurance number?

Upon reaching UK, all applicants will be expected to collect there BRP from the post office.Guidance and inforamtion on collectimg the BRP will be provided to you at the point of collecting your visa at the Origin country.once you receive the BRP one of your consultants at BLS will guide you through the application process for a National Insurance number and opening a bank account.Please use the below Links for help:

Am I able to bring my family with me?

Yes, You can bring your family to UK.

Communicating with your family will be a priority after your arrival in the UK.our meet and greet consultant will provide you with a economical international simcard with £ 5 credit to help communicate with your family.

Which documents should I Bring?

you will be required to bring all the Original documents.your consultant will run through the checklist of documents that needs to be kept handy at anytime for immigration and other purposes.
